Step 4: Export Your SBOM to a Comma-Separated Format

You can export the SBOM parts on the Manage SBOM Parts page into a comma-separated value file (.csv) that can be opened in Excel or any text editor, enabling you to easily share or incorporate this information in reports.

This process exports only the SBOM data on the current page. To export data on other pages, repeat this process.

To export the SBOM to a .csv file:

1.

Open the Manage SBOM Parts page (SBOM Management > Manage SBOM Parts). A single SBOM of parts across all buckets is displayed in the grid.

(Optional) Filter the grid to only those SBOM parts belonging to the bucket you just created:

Click the Advanced Search button to open the Advanced SBOM Parts Search slideout.

In the Buckets field, select the bucket you just created.

Click Search. The Manage SBOM Parts page is filtered to the SBOM parts in the bucket.

Navigate to the page in the grid showing the SBOM part information you want to export.

Click Export CSV icon in the upper-right corner of the page.

The SBOM is exported to a file called sbom-parts-table-<timestamp>.csv and is downloaded to your browser’s default download location. You can then open the file in Excel or a text editor of your choice.
