Currency

In SaaS, you can use multiple currencies when adding subscription costs. All costs on the SaaS pages are converted and shown, with a currency code, in the base currency.

Currency management

The base currency is defined for each Flexera One SaaS Management environment which means that all users of that environment have the same base currency. The conversion to other currencies is done using defined currency exchange rates, or fixed rates.

For more information on currency settings and how to manage fixed rates in Flexera One SaaS Management, see Currency settings and Manage currency settings.

  • After you edit or delete a fixed rate in Flexera One SaaS Management settings, it can take up to a few minutes for currency values in the SaaS pages to update. To manually update currency values, select Update data at the bottom of a SaaS page.

Subscription currency

When you add or edit billing information for a SaaS subscription, you can select a subscription currency for the entered cost. This is the currency in which the subscription is purchased, and may be different from the base currency. The selection of a subscription currency requires that you first select a purchase date, and that a fixed rate, that covers the purchase date, is available in your system.

All entered costs, irrespective of subscription currency, are then converted to the base currency and shown on the SaaS pages.

If you have selected a subscription currency that is different from your base currency, entered the cost, and the fixed rate is then changed for that period, no corrections are made to historical values where this cost is used. This limitation applies to indicators and charts with total calculations that include historical data.
