Edit application: Reference

Refer to the table below for field descriptions when you want to add or edit applications in SaaS.

Field label	Description
Vendor	The vendor of the application. (Required)
Application	The name of the application. (Required)
Website	Link to the vendor's website. It is only visible if the information exists in Flexera's database.
Privacy policy	Link to the vendor's privacy policy. It is only visible if the information exists in Flexera's database.
Category	The software category that the application belongs to. This category outlines the application's functionality. This information is AI-generated and comes from Flexera's database. It is only visible if the information exists in Flexera's database.
Subcategory	The software subcategory that the application belongs to. This subcategory further defines the application's functionality together with Category. This information is AI-generated and comes from Flexera's database. It is only visible if the information exists in Flexera's database.
Approved	If Yes is selected, the application is marked as managed and approved for use by your security organization. No is selected by default. (Required) Applications discovered through SaaS connectors are automatically marked as approved and the value cannot be changed.
Single sign-on	If Yes is selected, the application is marked as accessed with single sign-on. No is selected by default. (Required)
Primary owner	The person responsible for managing this application in your organization. Only system users can be added.
