External access
With External access you can allow Flexera employees and the authorized users for your selected accredited partners to access your data in Flexera One SaaS Management. Granting this access permits Flexera and your selected partners to assist you and provide the services you require. Flexera's access is enabled by default.
When your Flexera One SaaS Management product is part of a managed services agreement, it is fully managed by your partner, and you cannot change your external access configuration.
Overview
When you grant external access to your Flexera One SaaS Management product, you can set the period of the access, and control the permissions that you grant by managing the roles assigned to external authorized users. If Role management is disabled, you grant full access to your system.
When you grant and enable external access, the third party gains access to your system and data. You must ensure that you have the appropriate data protection agreements in place with that third party.
Flexera external access
When Flexera's access is enabled, Flexera employees can assist you with your Flexera One SaaS Management product. You can edit this access to be continuous, enabled for a specific period, or disabled, but you cannot delete it. In Role management, you can assign specific roles to authorized users to restrict their access to your data.
Partner external access
If you are a partner user, this information only applies for your customers if you have access to the Snow Atlas Partner Service Layer.
When your Flexera One SaaS Management product is fully managed by your partner, you cannot edit or delete their external access instance.
If your Flexera One SaaS Management product is not fully managed by your partner, to authorize partners to access your data in Flexera One SaaS Management, you must select them from the accredited partners listed, and grant them access. If the partner that you want to grant access to is not listed, contact your partner to ensure that their domain is enabled in your Flexera One SaaS Management product. You can set up or edit the external access granted to your partners to be continuous, enabled for a specific period, or disabled. You can also delete the partner's external access.
When you grant access to your partner, the partner must authorize the individuals in their organization who are permitted to sign in to your Flexera One SaaS Management product. You can view a list of users with access by hovering over the user icon.
In Role management, you can assign specific roles to authorized users to restrict their access to your data.
If your partner authorizes someone to access your data through their partner access, the same person cannot be listed in your Flexera One SaaS Management product as a user.
