Install Extender

Learn how to install Extender. Extenders enable data to be collected and transferred from your environment to Flexera One SaaS Management. They are set up and downloaded in Flexera One SaaS Management Settings, installed in your environment, and configured in the Extender configurator.

If you already have the Flexera Beacon product set up but still want to use the Extender, it is important that you configure the Ports in use according to Configure Inventory API endpoints, to avoid conflicts as they are both set to the same port by default. To ensure smooth data flow between systems, you must assign different ports for the incoming traffic with IE 80 and 8080.

You are also required to download, install, and configure the Inventory Agents in order to use the Extenders. For detailed instructions, see the Inventory Agents documentation.

You can install several Extenders, for example, you can install one Extender for each office location.

Before you install a new Extender, make sure that the System Requirements are met.

To manage Extenders, you require the System administrator role.
