IP policies

You only have access to the functionality described in this information if you are entitled to use Flexera One SaaS Management, and have the System administrator role, or a custom role which has the related permissions included in this default role, assigned to you in Roles in Flexera One SaaS Management Settings.

To apply IP policies to your Flexera One SaaS Management product, you must also add the same permitted IP addresses to Flexera One. For more information, see Managing IP Addresses. If you only set IP policies in Administration > Flexera One SaaS Management Settings > IP policies, the restrictions will not be applied to your Flexera One SaaS Management product.

Setting your IP policies allows you to control the IP addresses that are permitted to access your Flexera One SaaS Management product.

In IP policies, you list the IP addresses that are permitted to access your Flexera One SaaS Management product. Any IP addresses that are not listed and enabled are denied access. If someone tries to access your Flexera One SaaS Management product from an IP address that is denied access, a message appears informing them that their IP address is denied access, and they must sign in from an approved IP address.

A user is also denied access if they lose their VPN connection, or change location so that they are no longer using a permitted IP address. They are then prompted to sign in from an approved IP address.

When you add your IP policies, you must ensure that you include your current IP address to prevent being locked out of your Flexera One SaaS Management product.

You must enable an IP policy to apply your access restrictions. Only IP addresses included in IP policies that are enabled are permitted access. All other IP addresses are denied access to your Flexera One SaaS Management product, including IP addresses in an IP policy that is disabled.

You can add single IP addresses or IP address ranges in CIDR notation. Adding an IP policy with IP addresses allows you to group the permitted IP addresses, for example, into a list of all the permitted IP addresses for an office or facility in your organization.

There are limits on the maximum number of entities related to IP policies, which are permitted for your Flexera One SaaS Management product.
