Manage custom fields

Learn how to manage custom fields in Flexera One SaaS Management settings.

To manage custom fields, you require the Flexera One SaaS Management Administrator role.

Add custom fields

1. From the Administration menu, under Flexera One SaaS Management settings, select Custom fields.

2. Select Add custom field.

3. Enter a Custom field name.

   Do not use the same name as one of the standard fields in Flexera One SaaS Management, not even for different categories. This can cause conflicts, for example, when importing data.

4. Select if the custom field is a Required field or not.

5. Select the Type of content that can be entered in the custom field.

6. To create a pre-defined list of values:

   1. Select Pre-defined list.

   2. Enter a List option and then select Add option for all the values that you want to add to the list.

   3. Optional: Use the arrows to move the values up and down the list.

   You can only create a pre-defined list for custom fields of the type Number and Text.

7. Optionally: Enter a Default value for the custom field.

   If you previously selected Required field, you must enter a Default value.

8. For Category, select one of the following:

   • User: creates a custom field for users in Flexera One SaaS Management
   • Licenses/Subscriptions: creates a custom field for subscriptions in Flexera One SaaS Management

9. Optional: Enter a Description of the custom field.

10. Select Add.

Edit custom fields

1. On the Custom fields page, select the custom field that you want to edit.

2. On the Actions menu, select Edit.

3. In Edit custom field, add or edit the applicable information. For more information, see Add custom fields.

4. Select Save.

Delete custom fields

1. On the Custom fields page, select the custom fields that you want to delete.

2. On the Actions menu, select Delete.

3. Select Delete to confirm.
