Private Application Catalogue: Reference

You only have access to the functionality described in this information if you are entitled to use Flexera One SaaS Management, and have the System administrator role, or a custom role which has the related permissions included in this default role, assigned to you in Roles in Flexera One SaaS Management Settings.

Refer to the tables below for field descriptions when you want to view details of the Applications, Filters, Manufacturers, and Families in your Private Application Catalogue in Flexera One SaaS Management.

Applications

On the Private applications overview page, the Applications tab shows all applications in your Private Application Catalogue, both on-premise applications and SaaS applications.

Field label Description
Name The name of the application. (Required)
Discovery method The discovery method used for recognition of the application: File for on-premise applications and URL for SaaS applications. (Required)

On the On-premise page, the Applications tab shows all the on-premise applications in your Private Application Catalogue.

Field label Description
Name The name of the application. (Required)
Manufacturer The manufacturer of the application. (Required)
Edition The edition of the application.
Version The version of the application.
Operating system The operating system that the application runs on.
Is Operating system If selected, the application is an operating system.
Number of rules Shows the number of rules that are used to identify the application.

The SaaS page shows all the SaaS applications in your Private Application Catalogue.

Field label Description
Name The name of the application. (Required)
Manufacturer The manufacturer of the application. (Required)
License required Shows if licenses are required for the application (Yes/No).
Application discovery Shows if discovery is enabled for the application (Enabled/Not enabled).

Filters

The Filters tab shows all the application filters in your Private Application Catalogue, and the number of software they collect.

Field label Description
Name The name of the application filter. (Required)
Created by Shows information on who created the application filter.
Software collected The number of software that the filter collects.
Collection status The filter will have status Collecting as long as it still collects data. When the limit of the filter is reached and the filter is full, status changes to Done.

Manufacturers

The Manufacturers tab, under Custom data, shows all the application manufacturers in your Private Application Catalogue.

Field label Description
Name The name of the manufacturer. (Required)
Website The link to the website of the manufacturer. The information can facilitate searches for product updates, service packs, security issues, or other relevant product information.
Privacy policy The link to the privacy policy page of the manufacturer. The privacy policy describes how a company or organization gathers, stores, and uses personal information.
Terms and conditions The link to the terms and conditions of the manufacturer. Normally, the terms and conditions are part of a contract or agreement to ensure that the parties understand their contractual rights and obligations.

Families

The Families tab, under Custom data, shows all the application families in your Private Application Catalogue.

Field label Description
Name The name of the application family. (Required)
Manufacturer The manufacturer of the application family. (Required)
Description The description of the application family.
