Assigning Cognos Roles
The Assign Cognos Roles page enables a user with the Assign Cognos Roles permission to assign Cognos roles to FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications users. Only users with a role that has the Assign Cognos Roles permission can view this page and assign Cognos roles to FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications users.
By default, the Super Administrator role has the Assign Cognos Roles permission.
To assign Cognos roles to FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications users:
| 1. | From the Reporting tab, under Flexera Analytics, click Cognos Roles. |
If the Cognos Roles link is not visible on the navigation bar, verify with your FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications administrator that you have the Assign Cognos Roles permission.
| 2. | Click Assign Cognos Roles to display the Assign Cognos Roles page. |
| 3. | For each role, select the FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications users to which you want to assign the Cognos role, and use the right-arrow button to move the users to the Users Assigned this Role box. Hold down the Ctrl key while selecting to select multiple users. Note that there is a limit to the number of users who can be assigned to each Cognos role. |
Tip:To quickly find a user, click in the “All FNM-EA Users” list and begin typing the user name.
| 4. | Click Save Cognos Role Assignments. |
