Assigning Unassigned Vendor Daemons to Software Producers
Using the Assign Vendor Daemon page, you can assign unassigned vendor daemons to a software producer.
Vendor daemons are added to the FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications database when report logs are imported. Vendor daemons in the FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications database that are not associated with a software producer appear in the unassigned vendor daemons list. If the vendor daemon that you want to associate with the software producer does not appear in the unassigned vendor daemons list, it means that the vendor daemon is not in the FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications database.
To manually add a vendor daemon to a software producer, use the Add Vendor Daemon page.
To assign a vendor daemon to a software producer:
| 1. | From the Planner tab, under Software Producers, click Software Producers. |
| 2. | Click the name of the software producer for which you want to add a vendor daemon. This displays the View Software Producer page. |
| 3. | In the bottom half of the page, click the Vendor Daemons tab, then click Assign Vendor Daemon to display the Assign Vendor Daemon page. This page displays a list of vendor daemons that are in the FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications database, but have not been associated with a software producer. |
| 4. | Select the check boxes in front of the vendor daemons you want to associate with the software producer, then click Assign to Software Producer. |
| 5. | Click Save. |
