LUM Configuration
To specify whether you want the LUM Servers and the LUM Concurrent Usage tabs to be displayed (beneath the Servers and the Activity tabs, respectively), you provide settings in the LUM Configuration page. These settings also identify the path to the i4blt (which FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications uses to communicate with your enterprise’s LUM servers) and specify the date and time format that is used in LUM report logs.
To specify LUM configuration settings:
1.
From the Admin tab, under System Configuration, click LUM. |
2.
Specify the LUM settings: |
•
Enable LUM—Select to display the LUM Servers subtab (beneath the Servers tab) and the LUM Concurrent subtab (beneath the Activity tab). |
•
Location of Basic License Tool (i4blt)—Type the complete path to the i4blt location. FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications uses this utility (which is provided by IBM) to communicate with LUM servers. For example: |
•
On Windows, the path would be similar to c:\ifor\win\bin\i4blt.exe |
•
On Unix, the path would be similar to /usr/opt/ifor/bin/i4blt |
•
LUM Date/Time format—Specify the date and time format in which LUM usage events are recorded in LUM report logs. Specify the format of the date and time using Java date and time patterns. (For information, see https://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/api/java/text/SimpleDateFormat.html.) FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications reports on the time in the LUM report logs as the local time of the Admin server. |
For example:
•
If the date/time format in your enterprise’s LUM system is similar to 06/30/2011 15:33:11, specify the following in the field: MM/dd/yyyy HH:mm:ss |
•
If the date/time format in your enterprise’s LUM system is similar to Jun 30 2011 03:33:22 PM, specify the following in the field: MMM dd yyyy HH:mm:ss a (where a represents AM or PM) |
