Installing the SQL Server Database Server
Follow Microsoft’s instructions to install SQL Server. (This guide states only the assumptions and requirements of the SQL Server database server installation that allow it to work correctly with FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications Admin and Reporting.)
In the database installer, accept the default settings, with the following exceptions:
| • | Select mixed authentication (Windows and SQL Server) instead of Windows-only authentication. |
| • | Enable the TCP/IP network protocol. This is required because network protocols are disabled by default during installation. |
