Stopping the Admin Server from the Command Line

Important:Do not stop FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications Admin from a Command Prompt using Ctrl+C. This leaves the server in an inconsistent state.

Note:If you are using the bundled keystore, you need to enable the flexnet stop command before attempting to stop the server from the command line.

To stop the Admin server from the command line:

1.

Open a Command Prompt and change to the FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications Admin installation directory.

Note:If you started FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications Admin from an already-open Command Prompt window, open a new Command Prompt window to stop it.

2.

Type the command:

flexnet stop

Note:On some Microsoft Windows machines the flexnet stop command may fail with an exception. The fix is to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x64), which is available from the Microsoft website: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=2092.
