FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications is a Web-based license management, administration, and reporting application that enables you to monitor license servers and license-usage data across your enterprise. It manages all of the FlexNet license servers throughout your organization, using a FlexNet Agent on each of the license servers.
Note:It is assumed that you are familiar with the basic administration of FlexNet Publisher licensing. See the FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications 2020 R1 Concepts Guide and the FlexNet Publisher 2015 License Administration Guide for information.

The Dashboard page provides an overview of vendor daemon status, FlexNet Agent status, and most active features. Alert messages are displayed and can be dismissed from this page. |

Using the pages available beneath the Servers tab, you can view and manage your enterprise’s license servers, vendor daemons, and FlexNet Agents. You can also view and remove any license servers that are no longer recognizable to FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications. |
Using pages available from the Licenses tab, you can see the licenses available in your enterprise, including concurrent, detachable, and activatable licenses. You can also view fulfillment records for licenses represented by trusted storage. In addition, you can view and edit individual license certificates and view inactive licenses. |

Pages available from the Activity tab enable you to view license activity in your organization. |

Beneath the Cloud Infrastructure tab, you will find the Cloud Infrastructure Financial Dashboard and the Cloud Infrastructure Operational Dashboard. These dashboards provide at-a-glance information about your organization’s use of Cloud resources, from both a spend and utilization perspective. |

The Reporting tab enables you to configure and run a variety of reports that show your organization’s license usage and server coverage. The functionality available—for example, whether Flexera Analytics is available—depends on how your enterprise licenses FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications. In addition, you can create and manage organizational structures, and configure access to Flexera Analytics reporting functionality through Cognos Roles. |

Functionality available under the Reporting tab enables you to configure and run reports that show your organization’s usage of and spending on cloud-infrastructure services. You use Flexera Analytics—which is powered by IBM Cognos BI—to define and generate reports. In addition, you can configure access to Flexera Analytics reporting functionality through Cognos Roles. |

Functionality available from the Planner tab enables you to input contract data and map features to products, to provide the basis for product-based reporting. |

The Access tab enables you to determine which FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications users are able to view and manage information pertaining to different functionality within the license management domain. |

Functionality available from the Alerts tab enables you to configure and view application-related alerts. |

Functionality provided by pages under the Admin tab include user management, application configuration (and the ability to export/import application-configuration settings), and the ability to view system information. |
