Adding Contracts
You can add a contract using the FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications interface or by importing the contract data from the command line.
To add a contract:
| 1. | From the Planner tab, under Contracts, click Contracts. |
| 2. | On the Contract Summary page, click Add Contract. |
| 3. | Provide the contract settings. Required settings are identified in the interface by a red asterisk (*). |

Contract Name |
Provide a unique name for the contract. |

Vendor |
Specify the software vendor with whom you have negotiated this contract to purchase product licenses. If the software vendor does not appear in the list, type the name of the software vendor in the text box. This adds the software vendor to the FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications system: The software vendor will appear in both the Software Vendor list (under the Contracts tab) and on the Software Vendors page. |

Contract Start Date |
Date on which the contract began, specified as mm/dd/yyyy. |

Contract End Date |
Date on which the contract terminates, specified as mm/dd/yyyy. |

Contract Value |
The dollar value of the contract over the life of the contract. For example, you may have a contract with a value of $24 million over three years. In this case, the contract value is $24 million. |

Fixed Cost |
The cost of the fixed portion of your contract, if it is divided into fixed and variable portions. |
|
Variable Cost |
The cost of the variable portion of your contract, if it is divided into fixed and variable portions. For example, after a specified number of licenses, your contract may specify a variable cost for additional licenses. |

Annual Maintenance Fee Date |
Specified as mm/dd/yyyy, the date on which the annual maintenance fee associated with this contract is due to the software vendor. |

Payment Amount |
Dollar amount of the periodic payment due to the software vendor. |
|
Payment Start Date |
Specified as mm/dd/yyyy, the date on which the first payment is due to the software vendor. |

Payment End Date |
Specified as mm/dd/yyyy, the date on which the last payment is due to the software vendor. |

Payment Interval |
Specify how often payment is due to the software vendor. For example, payment may be due quarterly. |
| 4. | Click Save. |
After adding a contract, you can add contract pools and remixes.
