Roles

Roles are defined by the permissions assigned to them. By default, the following system-defined roles are available in FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications. These system-defined roles cannot be edited. You can create additional roles using the Add Role page.

Default FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications Roles

Role

Description

Super Administrator

Users assigned the Super Administrator role have all permissions available in FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications.

Data Warehouse Administrator

Users assigned the Data Warehouse Administrator role have the following Data Warehouse permissions:

• Import Org Structures from Command Line
• Run and Cancel Aggregation
• View Org Structures
• View and Manage Org Structures
• Manage Usage Data Maintenance

Investment Planner Administrator

Users assigned the Investment Planner Administrator role have the following permissions:

• View and Manage Investment Planner
• Import Products and Contracts from command line

License Administrator

Users assigned the License Administrator role have the following permissions:

• View and Subscribe Alerts
• View and Manage Alert Configurations
• Manage Licenses
• Manage Options for Vendor Daemons permissions.

License Server Administrator

Users assigned the License Server Administrator role have all of the License Server Management permissions:

• View and Subscribe Alerts
• View and Manage Alert Configurations
• Manage License Servers
• Manage Vendor Daemons
• Manage Licenses
• Manage Licenses in Use
• Manage Options for Vendor Daemons
• Manage Agents
• View and Manage Not Recognizable License Servers and Vendor Daemons

Report Operator

This role enables the user to work with all facets of Classic Reporting functionality in FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications.

Users assigned the Report Operator role have the following permissions:

• Bulk Import Report Logs
• Migrate Report Logs
• View Report Configurations
• View/Add/Edit/Copy/Import/delete Report Configurations
• View Reports
• Run/Schedule/Cancel Reports
• View Report Logs
• View and Manage Report Logs
• View Report Log Definitions
• View and Manage Report Log Definitions
