Customizing the Operational Dashboard

You can customize the Operational Dashboard by moving and adding report widgets. To move the report widgets, simply drag and drop them around the dashboard space.

You can add customized reports that you have created to the Operational Dashboard and remove existing report widgets from the Operational Dashboard.

Although you cannot overwrite the Operational Dashboard that is included in the FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications Reports folder, you can save your own version of the Operational Dashboard by re-naming it and saving it in the appropriate folder. You can then set Cognos permissions on your customized Operational Dashboard to specify whether other Cognos users are able to view it. See Reporting on Feature Usage (Historical Feature Reports) for information. (If you save your version to your My Folders location, your customized dashboard can be viewed only by you.)

Adding Report Widgets to the Operational Dashboard

To add a report widget to the Operational Dashboard:

1. From the Insert menu, select Insert Content. This opens the Content pane on the right side of the page.
2. Browse to the report object that you want to add.
3. Right-click on the report object, then choose Insert.

Note that not all reports will work well as report widgets. If a report is very complex, the data may become difficult to read if the report is reduced to widget size.

Removing Report Widgets from the Operational Dashboard

To remove a report widget from the Operational Dashboard:

1. Select the report widget.
2. Click the Widget Actions icon in the upper-left corner of the report widget, then select Remove from Dashboard.
