Periodic Aggregation

For ongoing reporting using FlexNet Reporting, you can set up aggregation to run on a recurring, periodic basis using the Periodic Aggregation page. Periodic aggregation processes all report log data that has been imported to FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications since the most recent aggregation was run.

You can also use the Periodic Aggregation scheduler to import organizational-structure data from an LDAP domain. (See Importing Organizational-Structure Data from LDAP for more information about this functionality.)

Periodic aggregation does not run if it is set to “Not scheduled”.

Note:To schedule, run, and cancel data aggregation, a user must have a role with the Run and Cancel Aggregation permission.

To define periodic aggregation:

From the Reporting tab, under the Usage Data Maintenance section, click Periodic Aggregation to display the Periodic Aggregation page.

Select the Import Org Structure... check box if you want to import organizational-structure data from an LDAP domain prior to aggregation. When this option is selected, FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications will import organizational-structure data for all organizational structures that are associated with LDAP domains.

Specify how frequently you want periodic aggregation to run. When periodic aggregation is defined for specific days or months, the time zone used is that of the FlexNet Reporting server.

Not scheduled—Periodic aggregation does not run. Select this option to turn off the periodic aggregation task.

These days—Specify the days of the week and the time using the 24-hour clock.

•

These months—Specify the day of the month for the selected months, and the time using the 24-hour clock.

Click Save.
