Deleting Vendor Daemons from Software Producers

When you delete a vendor daemon using the View Software Producer page, the result depends on whether the vendor daemon has feature usage associated with it.

If you added the vendor daemon using the Add Vendor Daemon page and there was no feature usage associated with the vendor daemon, the vendor daemon is deleted from the FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications system.

If you assigned the vendor daemon using the Assign Vendor Daemon page, or added the vendor daemon using the Add Vendor Daemon page and there was some feature usage associated with the vendor daemon, then deleting the vendor daemon puts it into the unassigned vendor daemon pool.

To delete a vendor daemon from a software producer:

From the Planner tab, under Software Producers, click Software Producers.

Click the name of the software producer for which you want to add a vendor daemon. This displays the View Software Producer page.

Click the Vendor Daemons tab to display a list of the vendor daemons associated with this software producer.

Select the check boxes in front of the vendor daemons that you want to delete from this software producer, then click Delete.
