Configuring FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications Behavior After Installation

During the FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications Admin and Reporting installation processes, you specified some of the application’s behavior. After installation, you can change these settings and/or specify some additional settings that govern the behavior of FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications Admin/Reporting. Changing some settings requires that FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications Admin/Reporting be restarted for them to take effect.

Configuring FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications Admin Behavior—Admin settings can be configured through its web interface, or through the configurator.

Configuring FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications Reporting Behavior—Reporting settings can be configured only through the configurator.

FlexNet Platform Server—The FlexNet Platform Server controls the Admin configuration, including email and logging settings, and session timeout. You can modify these settings in the FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications user interface (using the System Configuration | FlexNet Platform Server page).

FlexNet database connection—The connection between FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications Admin/Reporting and the corresponding database server is configured using the Admin and Reporting configurators. Changing these settings is rarely necessary after installation.
