Adding Product Licenses to Contract Pools
To add product licenses to contract pools:
1. | From the Planner tab, under Contracts, click Contracts. |
2. | On the Contract Summary page, click the contract name for the contract to which you want to add licenses to a contract pool. |
3. | In the bottom section of the page, click the contract pool to which you want to add licenses. |
4. | On the View Contract Pool page, click Add Product License. |
5. | On the Add Product License page, specify the product license settings. Required settings are identified by a red asterisk (*). |

Product |
The product being licensed. Select the software producer from the first list, then select the product. |
Number of Licenses |
Specified as an integer, the number of licenses of this product purchased from the software vendor. |
Effective Date |
Specified as mm/dd/yyyy, the date on which the product licenses can be used. This defaults to the contract start date. |
Expiration Date |
Specified as mm/dd/yyyy, the date on which the product licenses expire. This setting is displayed only for contract pools that have a time-based licensing model. |
Purchase Requisition Number |
The requisition number for this license purchase. |
Purchase Order Number |
The order number for this license purchase. |
Pool Annual Fee Percent |
Value specified for the contract pool to which you are adding this license. To change this value, modify the Annual Maintenance or Access Fee Percent setting for the contract pool. |
Override Annual Fee Percent |
Percentage of list price paid to the software vendor each year for this product license. This setting overrides the Annual Maintenance or Access Fee Percent setting for the contract pool. |
List Price |
The software vendor’s list price to purchase a single copy of the product. |
Calculated Net Price |
The net price for this product license, calculated using the following formula: List Price * (1 - Discount Percent) * (1 + Uplift Percent) |
Override Net Price |
To override the calculated net price, provide an override price. |
6. | Click Save. |
