You can import tier definitions contained in an XML file in two ways—from the FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications user interface and from the command line.
Important • The XML file must contain a complete list of tier-feature definitions. The import will delete all previously created tier definitions from FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications. You will need to run aggregation after importing the definitions.
To import tier definitions contained in an XML file using the FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications user interface:
1. | From the Reporting tab, under Tiers, click Tier Summary. |
2. | Click Browse to browse to your tier definition XML file. |
3. | Click Import Tiers. |
4. | Read the warning message that appears (regarding the deletion of tier-definition and aggregation data) and click OK if you want to continue the import. |
The tier definition will be added to FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications and the information will appear in the table at the bottom of the Tiers page. To edit information contained in a tier, click the <Tier Name> link to display the Edit Tiers page.
