Vendor daemons are added to the FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications database when report logs are imported. Using the Add Vendor Daemon page, you can manually add a vendor daemon to a software producer before it is added to the FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications database during the import process.
To assign an existing vendor daemon (a vendor daemon that is already in the FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications database) to a software producer, use the Assign Vendor Daemon page.
To add a vendor daemon to a software producer:
1. | From the Planner tab, under Software Producers, click Software Producers. |
2. | Click the name of the software producer for which you want to add a vendor daemon. This displays the View Software Producer page. |
3. | In the bottom half of the page, click the Vendor Daemons tab, then click Add Vendor Daemon. |
4. | On the Add Vendor Daemon page, specify the vendor daemon settings. Required settings are identified by a red asterisk (*). |
