OneDrive directories and files that are not locally available on a device are excluded from file system scans by default on Windows devices.

The Windows FlexNet agent file system scanner might otherwise touch thousands of files within OneDrive, causing the system to hydrate (download) all content and defeating the purpose of storing the files in the cloud.

To enable scanning of OneDrive directories and files that are not locally available, set this preference to “False”.
