When WMI
is set to True, the Windows Management
Instrumentation (WMI) tracking is specified as the preferred option for tracking hardware. In
this case, if WMI is not available (and the Hardware
preference is set to
True), the tracker (ndtrack executable)
attempts to track hardware using a native API.
When set to False, the tracker uses another tracking mechanism instead of WMI.
This preference is ignored for UNIX-like platforms.
