Installation Workflow
FlexNet Manager for SAP Applications installation steps:

Set up the SAP landscape in IT Asset Management and on any inventory
beacons, if using. This includes the following tasks:
- Install the SAP Connector libraries. This task consists of the following subtasks:
- Set up the SAP Admin module. See Adding an SAP Admin Module System.
- Add the dependent SAP systems that are connected to the SAP Admin module. See Adding a Dependent SAP System.
- If your setup is using beacons, create connections to your SAP systems on the inventory beacons. See Creating SAP Connections.

- Install the SAP Connector libraries. The tasks consists of the following subtasks:

Install the transports:
- Import the AdminModule transport into a suitable SAP system or SAP systems, if you want to have multiple SAP Admin modules.
- Import the Roles transport into all SAP systems that you want to optimize using FlexNet Manager for SAP Applications.
For more information, see Import of Transports. - Create the users for the SAP Admin module and the dependent SAP systems and assign the required roles. For more information, see Creating Users.
- Configure the web service on the inventory beacons. For more information, see Configuring IIS for Communication between the Inventory Beacon Server and the SAP Admin Module.
- Configure the web service in the SAP Admin module in SOAMANAGER to facilitate communication between the inventory beacons and the SAP Admin module. For more information, see Configuring the Web Service on the SAP Admin Module System for Communication with an Inventory Beacon. Use the Connection Monitor to verify if all connections are working properly. For more information, see Testing Connections.
- Import the system landscape from IT Asset Management into the SAP Admin module. For more information, see Importing a System Landscape from IT Asset Management.
- Set up the RFC destinations inside the SAP Admin module for the communication with the dependent SAP systems. For more information, see Adding RFC Destinations.
- Schedule the collection of data from the dependent SAP systems into the SAP Admin module. For more information, see Collecting Data from Dependent SAP Systems.
