Initial Setup of IT Asset Management

IT Asset Management (Cloud)

Note: Before executing any of the tasks in this section, ensure that IT Asset Management has been installed and configured.

Typically, you would setup IT Asset Management before configuring the SAP Admin module.

The initial setup of IT Asset Management usually includes the following tasks:

• Setting up the system landscape. Because you are using a Cloud implementation of IT Asset Management, you set up the system landscape in IT Asset Management using inventory beacons. For more information, see Inventory Beacons. After you defined your landscape, use the System Landscape Editor to view the system details.
• Setting access rights—see Access Rights to SAP Functionality.
• Modeling your SAP licensing information—see Licensing Information Setup.
