Duplicate User Recommendations Report

The Duplicate User rules help you identify potential duplicate users across one or more systems. These users might fail to be consolidated during user consolidation, which could result in a user consuming more than one license.

The Duplicate User Recommendations report is based on the settings of the Duplicate User rules that you configure in the Duplicate Users page (Licenses > SAP Optimization > Duplicate Users) in IT Asset Management. For more information, see Duplicate User Rule.

After IT Asset Management has identified potential duplicate users and generated the duplicate user recommendations, you can release these recommendations (bundled with the license-type recommendations) to the SAP Admin module.

You use the Duplicate User Recommendations report to review the duplicate user recommendations in the SAP Admin module, modify the user data in the report, and commit the changes to the SAP database to update the user primary data.

The report shows the duplicate users bundled in duplicate groups, marked by alternating colors. Each group is a collection of users who have been identified by IT Asset Management as being the same user on different systems (or one user with several accounts on one system).
