Removing an Item
There are two different processes, for real things or simulated ones.
- A real item that was part of your original snapshot when you began this simulation (continue below), or
- A simulated item that you added during this simulation, when it will most probably be color-coded green. These items cannot be deleted but can be "reverted", for which see Reverting Items.
You remove real items by deleting them from the Inventory details tree.
When an item is deleted, all its children (if any) are deleted as well.
Deleted items do not disappear, but are shown with a red background and strike-through text in the simulation tree. They also have a State of Deleted, if you choose to display that field. (This means that you can undo a deletion by 'reverting' the item.)
Any items that are deleted are excluded from the calculation of consumed license points for display in the License summary impact statement list at the bottom of this page.
You may delete one item at a time (together with all its descendents), or delete several items (and all their descendents) at once.
