Changing Your Preferred Display Currency

As an operator, you can choose to display monetary values in your preferred currency. This setting is used as your default display and input currency throughout the Management, Reports, and SAP modes.

You must be logged in as an operator to modify your own personal preferences. There is no way for an administrator or other operator to change these for you.

To change your preferred display currency:

1. Go to the My IT Asset Preferences page.
2. Select a value from the Preferred currency drop-down list.
   The list contains all the currencies that are now active in your enterprise. (This means you cannot choose a retired currency as your preference.)
3. Click Save.
   You may navigate elsewhere to make use of your new settings.

Your choice of currency has these effects:

• In lists and reports, all values are shown in your preferred currency.
• In property sheets, when you enter a new value it defaults to your preferred currency. For each value entered, you may also change it to another currency, such as the currency in which the original transaction occurred. You may also specify a particular exchange rate for each monetary value entered.
• In property sheets, when you see a monetary value that was entered in another currency than your preferred one, the data field shows the currency of entry first, followed by your preferred currency equivalent in brackets (with the conversion based on the exchange rate applied when the data was entered).
