IT Asset Management Access Rights

IT Asset Management (Cloud)

You can manage access rights separately for the following security sections in SAP mode in IT Asset Management:

• License Position
• Optimization
• Analysis Tools
• Configuration

The first step to managing access rights in IT Asset Management is to create one or more accounts. Every user who wants to use IT Asset Management within your enterprise needs an account.

You then assign the account specific roles and define the specific access rights for each role. This is done on the IT Asset Accounts page in IT Asset Management.

To configure access rights for SAP mode:

1. Go to the IT Asset Accounts page.
2. Click the All Accounts tab and then click the name of the account that you want to configure.
3. From the Role drop-down list, select an appropriate role from the that enables access to the SAP mode in the IT Asset Management web interface.
4. Expand the SAP section.
   The main sections within the SAP mode for which you can configure access rights display.
5. Select the corresponding check boxes to allow or deny access to specific features.
