Configuring Your Web Browser

FlexNet Manager Suite 2019 R1 (On-Premises Edition)
Efficient use of FlexNet Manager Suite may require adjusting your web browser settings.
Note: For practical use, FlexNet Manager Suite requires a minimum horizontal resolution of 1024 pixels in a supported web browser.
Check the following settings on your web browser used to access the central application server:
  • Add the URL for your central application server (and, where used and separate, the URL for your Flexera Analytics server) to the 'Intranet site' list, and allow automatic logon for intranet site.
    Internet Explorer Firefox Chrome Safari
May be recognized automatically as part of your intranet. If not, Windows Start menu > Control Panel > Internet Options, and choose Security tab. In the top panel, click Local intranet, then Sites, then Advanced. Enter the URL for your application server to the list. Then Close, OK. Still on the Internet Properties dialog, click Custom level..., scroll to the very bottom of the Settings list in the Security Settings dialog, and check that Automatic logon with current user name and password is selected. Then OK, OK all the way home. Adding the trusted locations as described above allows for automatic login. No further configuration required for this feature. Controlled by the same system settings used by Internet Explorer. Allowed once you have remembered the site(s) in your Keychain.
  • When Internet Explorer is used on a server-based operating system (for example, if you are testing from your central application server, or your inventory beacon has a server operating system), the IE enhanced security provisions must be turned off on that server.

On the server, open Administrative Tools > Server Manager. Ensure that the Server Manager (top) node is selected, and in the Security Information group, click the Configure IE ESC link.
