Adding a Simple Filter
FlexNet Manager Suite
2019 R1 (On-Premises Edition)
The simple filter is a quick way to reduce the number of rows showing in a list, letting you focus on the items you want.
The simple filter control sits at the top left of each listing, immediately under the
page title. Some listing pages have default filters applied to them (for example,
Under-Consumed Licenses), while other pages are
unfiltered (for example, All Licenses). The control shows:
- Any current setting(s) applied to the filter engine, whether using the simple filter controls or any of the alternatives
- An Add filter control, where you can extend a filter with additional rules (or create a new filter with its first rule).
Tip: If the current list is the result of a database search, the
search terms are also displayed in the simple filter control. This helps you see
all the restrictions on your available data in the one place.
To manage simple filters:
Example
Your manager says, "How many licenses do we have for our big three publishers where
we are not compliant?" Because the simple filter does not have settings for "Is
not", you choose all the other values except Compliant
for your filter.
