Adding Support Files

To add support files to your installation project:

1. In Advanced UI, Basic MSI, InstallScript Object, and Suite/Advanced UI projects: In the View List under Behavior and Logic, click Support Files.

In InstallScript and InstallScript MSI projects: In the View List under Behavior and Logic, click Support Files/Billboards.

2. Optionally, to create one or more subfolders for your files, in the Support Files explorer, right-click the Language Independent node or one of the language-specific nodes in this view, and then click New Folder. InstallShield adds a folder. Enter the name that you want to use for the folder.
3. In the Support Files explorer, click the item that should contain the support file that you are adding.
4. Right-click anywhere in the Files pane and then click Insert Files. The Open dialog box opens.
5. Browse to the file that you want to include. To select multiple files, hold down the CTRL key while clicking files.
6. Click OK.

InstallShield adds the file to the Files pane.

Tip: You can also drag files from Windows Explorer and drop them into the Files pane.
