Workflow Manager 6.0
The All Workflow(s)/Workflow Search page returns a list of workflow requests. You can get to it in one of the following ways:
• | Workflow consumers—If you are a workflow consumer, by clicking the View Workflow Request List link on the consumer Home page. In this case, the page is called All Workflow(s) and lists all workflow requests belonging to your company. |
• | Workflow administrators—By searching for a workflow, as described in Searching for Workflow Requests. In this case, the page is called Workflow Search and returns only workflow requests matching the specified criteria. |
Use this page to drill through to the Workflow Progress page for a specific workflow. See Workflow Progress Page (Consumer) and Workflow Progress Page (Administrator) for more information.
The All Workflow(s)/Workflow Search page has two views:
• | Search Criteria View |
• | List View |
On the search criteria view of the Workflow Search page, you select specific search criteria to refine your workflow request search.
Enter the following search criteria:
Option |
Description |
Workflow Family |
Select an Workflow Family to restrict your search to requests belonging to that Workflow Family. |
Workflow Name |
Enter the name or part of the name of the request you are searching for. If you enter a word or part of a word, Workflow Manager will search for all requests that include that word or part of a word in the Workflow Name. If you enter more than one word or word fragment, Workflow Manager will find only those requests that include that exact text in that order. |
Metadata Text |
Enter the text you want to search for in the data elements (data entry fields) that were entered either upon submission of a request or as part of a workflow phase. If you enter a word or part of a word, Workflow Manager will search for all requests that have data entries that include that word or part of a word. If you enter more than one word or word fragment, Workflow Manager will find only those requests that have data entries that include that exact text in that order. |
Issue or Message Text |
Enter the text you want to search for in any of the issues or messages associated with requests. If you enter a word or part of a word, Workflow Manager will search for all requests that have issues or messages that include that word or part of a word. If you enter more than one word or word fragment, Workflow Manager will find only those requests that have issues or messages that include that exact text in that order. |
Workflow Number |
Enter the numeric portion of the workflow request number to restrict your search to the request matching that number. The Workflow Request Prefix is not included in the search, and only exact numeric matches are found. For example, if you enter 12, only one request will be found: WF 12; requests with numbers of WF 120 or WF 1235 are not found. Note: Workflow requests for one company are assigned sequential numbers in the order they were created. Creating a new project that uses a different request prefix does not reset the sequence number to zero, so entering just the numeric portion of the Workflow Number will not return duplicate entries, such as WF 103 and HO 103. Only one workflow request for that company will have the Workflow Number of 103. |
Created After |
Enter a date to restrict your search to requests created after that date. |
Created Before |
Enter a date to restrict your search to requests created before that date. |
Project |
Select a project from the list to narrow your request search to only that project. |
Workflow Status |
Select a status (All, Active, Inactive) to restrict your search to only requests with that status. |
Search |
Click to initiate the search. |
This list view appears in one of two ways:
• | If you click View Request List on the Consumer Home page, all of your company’s requests are listed. |
• | If you perform a Workflow Search, the search results are listed on this page. All of the requests that meet the search criteria you entered are listed. |
