Specifying Deployment Technology Settings

After you have launched App Portal / App Broker for the first time and uploaded the license file, as described in Uploading Your App Portal / App Broker License File, you are then prompted to specify the connection settings for your deployment technology.

You are not required to enter your deployment technology settings at this time. You could skip this step and launch the application, and then specify the deployment settings on the Site Management > Settings > Deployment view.

However, if you choose to specify your deployment technology on these initial configuration screens, App Portal / App Broker will be able to automatically set some System Center Configuration Manager settings, including the Reporting Path and Path to inboxes fields, the System Center Configuration Manager view to use to read the user/computer relationship, and the default success statuses in the SCCM Status ID Mapping area.

Note:You are not required to enter these settings upon initial start up. You can enter or edit these settings at any time by opening the Deployment subview of the Site Management > Settings view.
