Configuring Flexera One IT Asset Management Settings

To connect to Flexera One IT Asset Management (ITAM), perform the following steps.

To enter Flexera One ITAM settings:

1. To integrate Flexera One IT Asset Management with App Portal, you will need to register the webapi.config file with Flexera Service Gateway.
2. To download the webapi.config file and register with Flexera Service Gateway:
a. Log into Flexera One. For more information refer to the Logging in to Flexera One or Resetting Your Password section of the Flexera One Help.
b. Navigate to Administration > IT Asset Management Settings > General and click the Web API tab.
c. Click the IT Assets Web API configuration link. The webapi.config file is downloaded.
d. Click the Flexera Service Gateway registration tool link. The RegisterFlexeraServiceGateway.exe file is downloaded.
e. Run the exe and import the webapi.config file.

Important:There is no need to change any data in webapi.config file. It can be used as-is to register in FSG.

3. In Flexera One, generate a Refresh Token by doing the following:
a. In a web browser, access either of the following URLs based on the server location of your account:
• For accounts in North American, log in to app.flexera.com. 
• For accounts in Europe (EU), log in to app.flexera.eu. 
• For accounts in Asia-Pacific, log in to app.flexera.au. 
b. The Flexera One login screen appears. Log in to your account.
c. Click the profile icon in the top right corner of the page and then select User Settings.
d. On the left menu, click API Credentials and then click the CREATE API REFRESH TOKEN button.

The token is created.

e. Click Copy to copy the refresh token and then save it to a secure location for future reference. Note the following:
• When you close the modal, the refresh token will no longer be accessible.
• A Flexera One API refresh token expires in one year if it is not used in that year.
• A Flexera One API refresh token will never expire if used at least once per year.
• There is no limit on the number of active Flexera One API refresh tokens that a user may have.
4. Login Into App Portal as Administrator, and click the Admin Page.
5. Select Site Management > Settings > Flexera Integration. The Flexera Integration view opens.
6. In the Flexera One IT Asset Management (ITAM) Settings section, choose the Flexera One Identity and Access Management (IAM) radio button for the ITAM Authentication Mode setting.
7. In the IAM Endpoint field, enter the endpoint:
• https://login.flexera.com/oidc/token (North America)
• https://login.flexera.eu/oidc/token (EU)
• https://login.flexera.au/oidc/token (APAC)
8. In the Flexera One API Refresh Token field, enter your refresh token. For more information about refresh tokens and endpoints, refer to the Flexera One API Key Concepts section of the Flexera One help.
9. Click Save.
