Licenses at Risk

A license is at risk when it is over-utilized: that is, it appears that you have broken the terms of the legal license agreement—most commonly, by installing more copies than you appear to have purchased licenses for.

Tip:Licenses that are Subject to true-up are never considered at risk, because you are permitted to top up your entitlements at the end of the true-up period (typically, once a year) to cover any consumption in excess of your previous purchases. If you want to identify licenses where you are likely to have a true-up liability, use filters to search in the All Licenses page.

To display over-utilized licenses, navigate to the Licenses at Risk page.

Tip:Your access rights may limit your ability to see data from some enterprise groups (data scoping); but the compliance status is always for the entire enterprise (unscoped). This may mean that, if your view of data is scoped, you cannot identify the cause of an over-utilized license. If this is the case, seek help from an unscoped operator or administrator who can see all data.

Properties Displayed on the Licenses at Risk Page

For detailed information on the properties displayed in this list, see Licenses Listings Property Reference.

Note:Most lists in IT Asset Management only show a selection of the properties in the underlying database. Some columns are displayed by default and others can be displayed using the column chooser control, including any custom properties that you have added. For information on using the column chooser, see Managing Columns in a Table.

Note:Any custom properties that you have added for this object are also available through the column chooser. Like other properties, you can also use these properties for filtering and grouping records on this page.
