Managing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Connection

The OCI Inventory Adapter enables integration with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), allowing IT Asset Management to import the following:

Oracle Autonomous Database instances running on OCI
Oracle Autonomous Database instances running on Exadata Cloud@Customer
The hardware and status of virtual machines running as Oracle Instances running on OCI.

Note:The Oracle inventory adapter does not import this data:

The software evidence of virtual machines running as Oracle Instances running on OCI
Oracle Database instances running on OCI
Oracle Database instances running on Exadata Cloud@Customer.

To gather software evidence data for virtual machines running Oracle Instances on OCI, see Collecting Inventory from Instances in the Inventory Adapters and Connectors reference guide.

For information on collecting data from Oracle Database instances, see Discovery and Inventory Actions Property Reference in the Online Help.

Establishing a connection between Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and IT Asset Management, consists of the following stages:

Configuring a user to access the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
Configuring secure connection to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
Configuring FlexNet Beacon to connect to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Note:The beta version of the OCI adapter allows for only one connection to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to be configured.

Important:Prior to establishing the connection, your chosen FlexNet Beacon must meet the following requirements:

FlexNet Beacon 23.0.0 or later
32-bit version of PowerShell 5.1 or later
