Editing an SBOM Part
An existing SBOM part might require an updated component version or changes to its attributes. You can access the functionality to edit an SBOM part from the Manage SBOM Parts page.
To edit an SBOM part:

Open the Manage SBOM Parts page (SBOM Management > Manage SBOM Parts). The list of SBOM parts across all buckets in your Organization is displayed in a grid format. |

Locate the SBOM part that you want to edit. |
If necessary, use the Advanced Search feature to filter the list to help you locate the part. See Performing and Managing Searches of SBOM Parts.

3.

Click the menu icon at the end of the row for the part and select Edit. The Edit SBOM Part slideout opens, showing the field values that define the current SBOM part. |
Consider the following functions you can perform from the Edit SBOM Part slideout:

If you previously created an SBOM part free-form by not selecting a component instance from the SBOM Catalog but now want to select the component instance, select both the Create From Component option and the Choose Component button that is subsequently displayed. For further instructions, refer to Selecting an Existing Component Instance for the SBOM Part. |

5.

Click Save to save all the edits to the SBOM part. |
A message in the top right corner of the page confirms that the SBOM part was successfully updated. (If you did not enter a required field, it is highlighted in red and must be completed before the part can be saved.)
