License Server Access
FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications enables you to specify access to license servers based on the administrative needs of various users. You can group license servers into license server administrative sets, and then associate those license-server sets with specific FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications users.
Users have access only to the information that pertains to the license servers in the License Server Administrative Set with which they are associated. For example:
| • | The information displayed in pages beneath the Summary, Servers, Licenses, and Activity tabs will pertain only to the license servers for which the user has access. |
| • | License server access rights work in conjunction with alert subscription to determine which alerts are displayed when a particular FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications user is signed in. |
You can group one or more license servers in a license server administrative set. There is no limit to the number of license servers in a set.
Universal License Server Admin Set
By default, FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications creates the Universal License Server Admin Set. Users with the Super Administrator role are able to view and manage license servers in the Universal License Server Admin Set. When a license server is registered with FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications, it is automatically added to the Universal License Server Admin Set.
