Exporting Configurations
The configuration-export utility exports all of the FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications configuration settings at one time.
Configurations are exported to a .zip file that contains database, FlexNet Platform Server, user interface, and FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications settings in separate XML files. The configuration-import utility uses this .zip file to restore all configuration settings when you import a configuration.
A user must be assigned a role with the View and Manage Configurations permission to export configuration settings to a file.
To export configuration settings:
| 1. | From the Admin tab, under System Configuration, click Export to open the Export Configuration page. |
| 2. | Click Export. |
| 3. | Select to save the file to disk and click OK or Save. |
| 4. | Specify the location and file name for the .zip file. By default, the configuration settings are saved to a file called flexnet_configurations.zip. |
