Importing Configurations
The configuration-import utility uses the .zip file created by the configuration-export utility to restore all FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications configuration settings. (See Exporting Configurations for information.)
A user must be assigned a role with the View and Manage Configurations permission to import configuration settings.
Important:Before importing configuration settings into FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications, export the working configuration settings (without writing over the .zip file you plan to import). If there is a problem with the imported settings, you have a backup of working settings to restore.
To import configuration settings:
| 1. | From the Admin tab, under System Configuration, click Import to open the Import Configuration page. |
| 2. | Specify the .zip file that contains the configuration settings to import. |
| 3. | Click Import. |
| 4. | When the import is complete, restart the FlexNet Platform Server to make sure that all setting changes take effect. |
