Adding RL Parsers
To add an RL Parser:
1. | From the Servers tab, under Agents, click Add FlexNet RL Parser. |
2. | Provide the following RL Parser information (all fields are required):. |
Setting |
Description |
Parser Name |
Provide a unique name for the RL Parser. |
Parser Host |
Specify the host on which the vendor daemon license server machine resides. |
Parser Port |
Specify the port for the vendor daemon license server machine. |
3. | Click Save to save the settings. On clicking save, by default the RL Parser is given a down status. Alternatively, click Save & Start to start the RL Parser with an up status on the vendor daemon license server machine. |
You only need to start the RL Parser one time for it to continually run. Once started, any activity that occurs, such as checkouts, check-ins, denials, usage levels and so on, is fed into the RL file and parsed by the RL Parser and subsequently saved to a JSON file. If the RL Parser has a stop status, a JSON file is not generated.
After you add it, the RL Parser appears in the RL Parser Summary page. To edit settings for an existing RL Parser, click the RL Parser name on the RL Parser Summary page.
Note:If FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications loses network connection with the FlexNet RL Parser, at this point, the RL Parser will not restart automatically and the status will remain unchanged. In this scenario, you will need to manually restart the RL Parser yourself. To restart the RL Parser, from the Edit RLParser screen, click on save and start to get the latest status and restart the RL Parser.
