Resetting Group Assignments To Zero

IT Asset Management (Cloud)

On the Group assignment tab of the license properties, you can reset the values in the Assigned locally (total) column to zero for selected rows as follows:

To reset group assignments to zero:

  1. Select the group assignment rows you wish to reset.
Use the check boxes on the left of each row. You can also select all the assignments you can see (that is, on the current page of the list) by clicking the check box in the header row; but make sure on page 1 that you then deselect the row Unassigned. If that row is selected, the control you need is disabled, because you cannot reset this calculated total of the available entitlements that have not yet been assigned to any group.
  2. Click Clear assignments.
The Assigned locally (total) values for all selected rows are set to zero.
Tip: Values are only changed for visible rows. If this is a multi-page listing, you must treat each page separately.
When you have removed all the assignments you want to clear, you may continue with other tasks, such as setting new group assignments to replace the ones just removed.
  3. When you are satisfied with the assignments, click Save to store your accumulated changes in the database.
