Streamlining Flexera One SaaS Management to IT Asset Management Integration
Immediate actions to prevent duplicate SaaS licenses and ensure accurate compliance reporting
Step 1: Relink purchases to Flexera One SaaS Management licenses
Once Flexera One SaaS Management licenses are available in IT Asset Management, users should relink all purchases currently associated with FlexNet SaaS Manager licenses to the corresponding Flexera One SaaS Management licenses.
Completing this step ensures that purchase links are preserved before FlexNet SaaS Manager licenses are retired.
Step 2: Retire FlexNet SaaS Manager licenses
After all purchases have been successfully relinked, users can proceed to retire FlexNet SaaS Manager licenses by removing their connections.
Once all FlexNet SaaS Manager licenses are retired, they will be marked accordingly and will no longer impact compliance reports for hybrid and SaaS applications, ensuring accurate compliance status.
Retiring and relinking licenses
Retiring and relinking licenses is not a single-step process and, at enterprise scale, can be a significant undertaking:
Any manual application assignments or additional license configurations will need to be re-applied.
Purchases mapped to licenses in IT Asset Management must be removed and reassigned to the newly created licenses.
Suggestions for enhancing the IT Asset Management experience and reducing manual effort
Once this mapping is established, Flexera can consider executing a migration script by way of Services to automatically populate the corresponding license fields.
This approach significantly reduces the manual effort required to map each field for every license originating from Flexera One SaaS Management.
