Managing Inventory Beacon Connections
You can define the connections to SAP Admin modules, their dependent SAP systems, and independent SAP systems. Note that the inventory beacon does not connect to the dependent SAP systems. However, you must set up connections to the dependent SAP systems so that they are added to the system landscape in FlexNet Manager Suite, and to enable the landscape synchronization with the SAP Admin module. (Dependent SAP systems that are not defined on the inventory beacon are not imported into FlexNet Manager Suite and the SAP Admin module.)
An inventory beacon installed on the central application server
For inventory beacons that are running on the central application server, you need to configure the connections to the SAP systems directly in SAP mode in the web UI of FlexNet Manager Suite. For procedural information, see Managing Your System Landscape.

- Updating details for a connection (see Modifying SAP Connections)
- Removing a connection that no longer applies (see Deleting SAP Connections)
- Manually triggering data collection through a connection (see Executing Connections).
