Configuring the Import Jobs
The last step in connecting Flexera One with ServiceNow to import IT Visibility data into ServiceNow is to decide how frequently you want to import data from Flexera One.
The Flexera One app uses two job types to efficiently pull normalized, enriched data from IT Visibility. When you are first configuring the Import connection
1. | Run the Snapshot job first, manually, to perform the initial import of IT Visibility data into your ServiceNow instance. |
2. | Wait for the Snapshot job to complete. |
3. | Schedule the Delta job to run periodically and pull only the changes since the last Import job run. |
The Snapshot Job is typically run once to perform initial, full data pull while the Delta job is meant to run periodically to pull only the changes since the last job run.
For details about the Delta and Snapshot jobs, see the following help topics:

|
Describes how to run or schedule the Snapshot job. The Snapshot job is designed as a one-time, full-data pull. |
|
Describes the Delta job for periodically importing data from Flexera One IT Visibility into your ServiceNow instance. |
|
Describes how to schedule the Delta job. The Delta job is designed as a periodic data sync to pull in data changes since the last time data was pulled in. |
Note:Job scheduling requires an account with the ServiceNow admin role.
Important:Within ServiceNow the default is for these jobs is to have the Run as account be system. It is good practice to set this field to the Integration account you set up in earlier steps. This allows for clear visibility to show that Flexera One is updating/creating records making troubleshooting much easier. (This out of box field may have to be added to the form by a ServiceNow system admin.)
