Out-of-Date Inventory

The Inventory > Inventory > Out-Of-Date Inventory page displays the inventory records of the devices that were inventoried in the past but have not reported any inventory for over 60 days (default). You can change the inactivity period from the drop-down list provided just below the title of this page.

Tip:This listing does not include any remote devices, which are not inventoried devices, but incomplete 'placeholder' devices created to track remote access such as through a Citrix Virtual Apps server. Remote device records are available by navigating to Inventory > Virtual Devices > Remote Devices. Similarly, virtual desktop templates are excluded here but are available through Inventory > Virtual Devices > Virtual Desktop Templates.

An alert flag next to the device name indicates the number of issues associated with the device. The following are some common reasons why an inventory record might become out of date:

If the Inventory Agent is installed on the device, it is not working, cannot access the appropriate inventory beacon to upload inventory records, or has logged some other kind of failure
The system is no longer in the network, but the asset record has not been marked as Retired.
The process to purge old records from the inventory data source (like SCCM) was not followed.

Tip:If the asset record linked to an inventory record is marked as Retired, the inventory record does not appear in this list.

A device record may be transitioned between different inventory pages based on the following events:

When any of the device listed on this page starts reporting inventory, its record automatically disappears from this page.
If you manually ignore a device, it also appears on the Ignored Inventory page.
All ignored devices are also listed on the All Inventory page.
If you manually remove the linked asset from a device, the device record also appears on the Inventory Without Assets page.

You can filter the records by the number of days for which the device has not reported any inventory.

On this page, you can perform the following actions on inventory device records:
