Managing Pages in a Custom Report

Note:If you have already been upgraded to Technology Intelligence Platform, information in this section is applicable to you. With Technology Intelligence Platform, out-of-the-box IT Visibility dashboards are being replaced with new, enhanced IT Visibility Technology Intelligence Platform reports.

Important:The Manage custom reports role is required to edit a custom report. For complete descriptions of each role available in Flexera One, see Flexera One Roles.

You can edit the page order, and hide and unhide pages in an existing custom report. This feature enables you to easily create different versions of custom reports, by duplicating existing custom reports, and then editing them.

To manage pages in an existing custom report:

1. Go to the Dashboards page from one of the following menus:
Dashboards > Technology Intelligence Reports > Custom Reports
IT Visibility > Technology Intelligence Reports > Custom Reports

By default, reports are grouped by type, such as Hardware, Software, and Vulnerabilities.

2. Click the expand icon next to the group type to view the list of reports.
3. To open a report, do one of the following:
Use the filter controls to search for the report. Click the report name to open the report. Click Manage in the upper-right corner of the page, and then select Edit Mode.
Locate the report and click the Edit button in the report row. Hover over the button icon to view the button name.
Locate the report and click the report name. Click Manage in the upper-right corner of the page, and then select Edit Mode.

The selected report opens in an editable mode.

4. You can manage the pages in the report by doing any of the following:
To reorder pages, drag and drop the page name tab of the page that you want to move, to the left or right along the row.

You may repeat this process as often as required.

Note:Consider the following:

When you reorder the pages in a report, your changes are visible for all users with access to the report.
When you export custom reports with pages that you have reordered, your changes to the report are shown in the PDF or PPT file if the report was created as a custom report. For more information, see Exporting a Technology Intelligence Platform Report.
To hide or unhide pages:
a. Click the dropdown arrow next to the page name.
b. Click Hide or Unhide depending on the current status of the page, and which pages you want to view.

Note:Consider the following:

When you hide or unhide pages, report subscriptions may include or exclude your changes for all subscribed users. For more information, see Subscribing to a Custom Report.
When you export custom reports with hidden pages, your changes to the report are reflected in the PDF or PPT file if the report was created as a custom report. For custom reports that are duplicates of an out-of-the-box report, which has hidden pages, those pages will be visible when you export the file. To hide those pages in the export file, unhide, and hide them in the duplicate file, and then export. For more information, see Exporting a Technology Intelligence Platform Report.
5. Click the Save this report button in the upper-right corner of the report. Hover over the button icon to view the button name.

To view the updated report, click Manage in the upper-right corner of the page, and then select View Mode.
